Hi Rhed
I am happy that all the babes have arrived and both mother and babes are doing well
Your right we all get excited when we have a litter, and it can be a great experience
but there are also unhappy things that can happen
You have been so lucky that your little girl and babes are okay
Its still not going to be that easy, the next 2 weeks will be tiring as you have to be there 24 hours a day to watch them and make sure all is okay.
You must make sure that mum has enough to eat, plenty of water, and that the babes are feeding all of them happily.
Check their weights daily to make sure they are gaining weight and make sure there is always clean fresh bedding
Keep an eye on their umbiblical cord, check there bums daily to
If there is a problem seek vet advice for them.
You must also check the bitch and make sure her teats are not hard, there is no bad smelling discharge from down below, that she isnt over drinking, and that her gums are nice and pink
At 2 weeks take them to a vets to have them all checked and get worming paste for the puppies, the pups need to be wormed every 2 weeks until 16 weeks the mother also needs to be wormed after giving birth and hope fully you also wormed her before mating and leading up to the puppies being born
Iam sure we will try and help where we can but if there is any problem please see a vet
For all I dont agree with what you have done and the fact you have very little knowledge regarding breeding I will give advice where I can, this does not mean I condone it, but I wouldnt want either the mother of the puppies or the puppies themselves to suffer, for me not helping as the deed is now done and the puppies are already here
I am sure we would all like updates on how the litter progresses, as now the hard work begins
