Hello,

My name is Susan and I am the momma to a beautiful 7 month old, gold and white, Shih Tzu named Daisy May. She is my pride and joy. I have never had a dog of my own before. I am single with no children, and in my late 30's. I was very nervous about the commitment of time, money and devotion to a new puppy. But, I can't tell you how much this puppy has added to my life. If I knew how rewarding it is to raise a Shih Tzu I would have done this years ago!

She wakes me up every morning and for the first time ever, I hop out of bed to take her out and am happy to be up with her. I feel like a first time mom, and my friends and family make fun a bit because I am soooo protective and cautious with everything she does - well, I've loosened up a bit in the last couple months. :)


I really would enjoy hearing the experience and advise from experienced Shih Tzu owners, so that is why I joined.

Hi, I am Chewie's Mom. Chewie is a nearly 6 month old brindle male I recv'd from my husband as an early Christmas present. He is my first shih tzu and after 1 week I can't imagine why I ever waited on getting one. He is the best puppy ever! Since this is my first shih tzu I will be asking lots and lots of questions. If you want total privacy then maybe forums arnt the way forward, we have them in place for a reason and to be a part of the forum they are required so would be grateful if you could fill them in, in the correct manor.

Awwwwww he's so cute! you must all be very excited now! I'm not really sure on pet carriers, I guess it depends how big the puppy grows, sure others here will have some good ones to recommend though hopefully

Awwwwwwww just adorable

Hi all! I hope the photos work below! We brought Bruno home on Friday. He is doing WONDERFUL. Already has potty training down! He isn't perfect with it, but truly the only 2 mistakes he's made were not his fault. He has learned 'sit' and we are working on 'leave it' also. He is still pretty small, only 1pound 12 ounces. He is going at least 4 hours at night already without pottying. Really excellent.
The only "problem" we're having is really the whining at night part. Any suggestions on killing that would be super helpful!
