Why are you all not posting

Im just wondering why all our new members arnt posting, we would love for you all to be active members.

We really dont bite We know some of you have pooches so why not show them off, we would sooooooooooooooo love to hear all about them.

Yes pllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeease join in.. we want to hear all about your pooches, every little detail... it makes our days! And piccies too.. if you're not sure how to put pics up, just shout and someone will explain!

I have to admit that I'm not really a 'poster.' It's been about a year since we decided to get a dog. In that time I've been busy researching breeds etc. to find as much info as possible and decide which breed etc. I've been a member on a few forums and this is the only one that I have had to post on. I tend to read and find as much information as I can on my own, rather than ask questions. I have been trying to post though!
Also, although I understand why I don't have full access, when I joined, I did and I was following several threads which then vanished when access was taken away. Today I found general chat had reappeared, I read through parts of it, now it's vanished again! I noticed that while I've had no access another 'newbie' with less posts than me had posted in there. So i wondered what the criteria for an 'active' member was? Is it number of posts? Or does someone decide?
I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm criticising. I'm just trying to put across a different perspective. You all seem lovely but as a newbie it can be a bit intimidating that you all know each other and get on so well.
I will keep trying to post and be active as I like it here.

Im not quite sure about why posts have dissapeared, maybe one of the other girls know? You have to register to view certain parts of the forum but not quite sure after you have become a member.

Don't feel intimidated.. I am new to these girls too and they have been so welcoming to me and given me so much great advice and helped me loads with my two puppies and i cant thank them enough.

Oh please don't feel intimadated Bella we were all newbies once and I know it can feel daunting when everyone seems to know everyone else but that has only come about through posting and asking and chatting.

I totally understand were you're coming from Bella, as I have left several forums because I felt I just didn't fit in with the clique.

I know these girls on here from a different forum we were on, and I didnt really participate much there, but over here, once the girls tracked me down :lol!: I find it's really comfortable, and they are so easy to talk to, which is why we have so much fun!

Bella, I do know where you are coming from. I've only been a member of a couple of forums, and the first one, I really went on simply to find out as much as I could about the breed etc when we got Gus. Once I got chatting, I really enjoyed it, and got to know a lot of other members. But it's up to the individual at the end of the day if, and how much, they post. :D

Bella, im really sorry you feel this way...can i just say that the Chit Chat section that is hidden is just a general chat thread about peoples lifes, it has nothing to do with pooches as we would never withheld information of this kind to anyone, we just think it might spure people on to start posting...i now understand that your not a poster and we would Never force anyone to post but would just love our members to be active...The whelping section is the only other private section, there is alot of ups and downs in that section so we need to be careful, if anyone wishes to know about whelping then please feel free to ask but as we know very little about new members we feel that if you are interested or need information then all you have to do is let you know.

We did state at first that posting was a must but after careful thinking we all decided that people like yourselfs need this information so we made two sections private with the rest of the forum on public view.

I really hope none of this causes offence to anyone but please stick around and if you dont feel like posting then thats fine, if you ever need any information of any kind then please just ask us.
