    Hi there,

    Thanks for the welcome.
    My name is Bella.
I don't have a puppy yet but have set my heart on a Shih Tzu so I'm busy finding out all that I can about this lovely breed.

Well you will just adore them! Feel free to have a good mooch round the site and ask as many questions as you like!

How did you hear about us??

Do you know if you want a boy or a girl? Have you been to see any yet or found any litters you might go and look at?

I'm sure this isn't the right place to ask but I can't find the right section.
There was a post about how often to breed a dog and someone mentioned accredited breeders.
While I've been looking for info I've been on to a lot of sites, some of them show breeders. I've found that some are accredited breeders and some aren't. Can anyone tell me the difference? Is it better to be accredited?

The only difference is the accredited breeders are bound by rules of breeding from the kennel club, not all are signed up but i really do think the accredited breeders are more likely to be better....they have certain rules to stick by like the amont of litters and they are home checked by the Kennel Club, i think its a really good scheme and would urge you to seek them out first.

Its an on going slow process and i think in time ALL good breeders will be part of this.

So how is the puppy hunting going ?????

I'm still looking. I'm happy to wait until I feel I've learned enough about the breed and what to look for. Hopefully summer time. Thanks for asking.

Bet you cant wait, i agree the more time you spend getting to grips with the breed the better.

Good luck in finding your little one party popper

You could always go along to something like Discover Dogs or Crufts where they will have shiddie stand and then you can ask questions and see the dogs on the stand
